Ob Technik oder Business, Alle, die sich für die entsprechenden Lösungen von HCLSoftware interessieren, finden bei bei DNUG kompetente Ansprechpartner und informative Events. In unseren Fachgruppen wird regelmässig, intensiv und mitunter auch Hands-on in die verschiedenen Themen eingetaucht. Collaboration war dabei schon immer unser Fokus und wird es auch bleiben, aber wir blicken über den Tellerrand hinaus.

Es hat sich viel getan bei HCLSoftware. Das Portfolio wächst stetig und auch in die für uns als DNUG relevanten Lösungen und Plattformen wurde kräftig investiert, ein Grund mehr an der DACHNUG teilzunehmen. Das Konferenzzentrum twelve in Wien bietet den geeigneten Rahmen für unsere nächste Konferenz und ist darüber hinaus aus der gesamten DACH Region bestens zu erreichen.

Mit Domino Leap kann man sich aus einem Spreadsheet ein Formular abbilden lassen, vorhandene Daten direkt mit importieren und diese - bei Bedarf - in einem konfigurierbaren Workflow weiterverwenden. Das schauen wir uns an. Das Produkt kann aber noch viel mehr: zum Beispiel eine bestehende Notes-Applikation schnell und unkompliziert mit einem Web-Frontend ergänzen. Klingt das spannend? Falls ja, komm gerne in meinen Workshop, für den ich mir das Folgende vorgenommen habe:

- Common Ground: wir sprechen über grundsätzliche Prinzipien, Mechanismen und Begrifflichkeiten im Umgang mit Domino Leap
- Easy Going: wir erstellen einfache Applikationen und lernen die dafür nutzbaren Elemente und Techniken kennen
- Advanced: wir erweitern eine bestehende Notes-Applikation mit einem Web-Frontend und loten hierfür die Grenzen von Domino Leap aus

Der Workshop richtet sich an Business User (Citizen Developer). Programmierkenntnisse in JavaScript sind nicht unbedingt erforderlich, vor allem für den letzten Teil aber sehr hilfreich.

Damit Du am Workshop AKTIV mitarbeiten kannst, bringst Du bitte Dein mit einem aktuellen Web-Browser ausgestattetes Notebook mit. Vorab installieren oder einrichten musst Du nichts, ein aktueller Domino Leap Server und entsprechende Accounts werden zur Verfügung gestellt.

A few years ago, chatbots had very limited skills relying on predefined answer patterns, frustrating users and developers alike. This drastically changed with the release of the GPT 3. It’s enhanced language understanding and generation abilities changed the ceiling of what a chatbot can do and what not. But the open source AI market didn’t sleep on those developments and quickly build models even more powerful than what we know from the early days of ChatGPT - making building solutions with LLMs even more accesible.
One challenge that remained when building a useful company chatbot was the addition of your own data into the mix - especially if it wasn’t previously puplicly available (like internal company guidelines) or data that changes quickly (press releases, incident messages). Retrieval Augmented Generation introduced a framework to tackle this problem by smartly using the power of Vector Databases and Semantic Embeddings.
The release of powerful development kits reduce the complexity of building a chatbot even further, allowing even inexperienced AI developers to set up their frist working agent in little time - creating a world in which building your first chatbot as easier than ever.

In my talk I want to explain the fundamental concepts of building a company chatbot with large language models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, Vector Databases, Semantic Embedding and AI Function Calling while simultaneously using these concept to implement a simple chatbot using open source LLM models from german hosted IONOS AI Model Hub. By attending, the audience should be enabled to start building AI chatbots themselves and understand the core ideas behind it.
